SATELLITE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS

MCPC VSAT

The MCPC VSAT is used for trunk connections between a large switching centre and small exchanges in remote inaccessible areas on a point-to-point basis in star connectivity. It caters for both voice and data transmission.

SCPC VSAT WITH DAMA

SCPC VSAT with DAMA is ideally suited for rural, inaccessible area network applications. DAMA is used for better frequency management.

TRANSPORTABLE EARTH STATION

This is a digital SCPC equipment in C band with central DAMA. It is suited for high security voice and data communications. It can be deployed in the remote inaccessible areas. This equipment is ideal for emergency communications.

IDR EQUIPMENTS

This equipment is used for carrying PCM streams transparently on the satellite link Data rates can very from 64 Kbps through 2 and 8 Mbps upto 44 Mbps.

PCM MULTIPLEXERS

Primary Multiplexer (30 voice channels. Bite rate =2048 Mbps)

Second order Multiplexer (120 voice channels. Bit rate=8,448 Mbps)

Third order Multiplexer (480 voice channels bit rate=34,368 Mbps)

Fourth order Multiplexer (1920 voice channels. Bit rate=139.264 Mbps) These multiplexers cater for both voice and voice band data transmission. They conform to the relevant CCIT(ITU-T) specifications.

ADPCM TRANSCODER

This is a compact voice transcoder that doubles the capacity of a standard 30 channel PCM primary Multiplexer. Using Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation technique, it combines two 30 channel 2.048 Mbps digital stream into a single 60 channel 2.048 Mbps stream and vice versa. It conforms to the relevant CCITT specifications.

DIGITAL CROSS CONNECT

This equipment provides cross connections at 64 Kbps or Nx64 Kbps of all channels between any incoming/outgoing 2.048 Mbps digital PCM stream. Omnibus/conference paths are also provided. It interfaces with sixteen 2 Mbps HDB3 data in accordance with CCITT rec.. G-703

These provide point-to-point transmission of HDB-3 coded PCM signals on optical Fibre Cables Long repeater spacing typically 45 Kms can be achieved on monomode fibre, conforming to relevant CCITT recommendations.

OPTIMUX:2/8 Mbps, 2/34Mbps & 2/140

These provide point-to-point transmission of second order, third order and fourth order PCM signals corresponding to 120, 480 & 1920 voice channels respectively. Optimux combines the features of both Multiplexer and OLTE.

SDH FAMILY
STM-1, STM-4 & STM-16

This family of equipment include Add-drop multiplexers, terminal multiplexers and regenerators and synchronous digital cross connects. They are used in trunk networks and combine the feature of transmission equipment for transport between the trunk network nodes and switching equipment for internal routing in each node. Extensive support of SDH management features is available in all these system.
