This product helps to put to effective usage the copper that is already buried in the telecommunication network between exchange
and subscriber premises.
This product supports four subscribers on a single twisted wire trunk (TWT) vis-a-vis one subscriber supported otherwise conventionally.

The TWT carrying four subscribers in digital format with 2B1Q line coding is referred as Digital Subscriber Line (DSL).
The product comprises of Central Office Terminal (COT) and Remote Terminal (RT).
The 19" width Desktop version houses 10 DSLs and caters to 40 subscribers and the Rack version with six subracks supports
240 subscribers. RT is remotely powered from COT.
HIGH BIT RATE DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER LINE (HDSL)
This product is designed, developed and manufactured by ITI Limited, India.
This product can be used to extend the range of 2 Mbps transmission stream in point-to-point configuration on existing copper without
repeater. This product can also be deployed in point-to-multipoint configuration to inter connect exchanges as well as to provide
service such as POTs, data, hotline directly to subscribers.
The product is available in four configurations viz.,
- Two pair point-to-point with 1168 Kbps transmission rate on each limb.
- Two pair point-to-multipoint to interconnect master exchange to slave exchanges with DID facility.
- Two pair point-to-multipoint to interconnect exchange to subscribers at two different remote locations with 1168 Kbps
transmission rate on each limb.
- Three pair point-to-multipoint to interconnect exchange to subscribers at three different remote locations with 784 Kbps
transmission rate on each limb.
The product consists of Line Terminal Unit (LTU) and Network Terminal Unit (NTU).
LTU is co-located with master exchange and NTU is positioned near slave exchange/subscribers to be served.
